Multitasking is an illusion.
You’re not performing multiple tasks at once, you’re task-switching.
Quickly switching focus between multiple things creates the illusion that we’re doing multiple things simultaneously.
It may feel like we are getting more done, but in a state of chronic
task-switching, we lose the ability to direct our attention to a single thing.
We lose energy.
The ability to maintain singular focus.
And this ability is the essence of mindfulness & meditation, which is more
valuable than any amount of productivity.
